Nat!! I Know!!! I wasn't even EXPECTING IT! I mean since I never got a reply....or hotmail ate the reply....I just...*blank*....it wasn't even on my mind to look for it! My mom brought in the mail and she handed me the brown envelope and when I first saw it I was thinking it was a journal/object that I had signed up to recive from nervousness.org (<---kinda complecated to explain but very addicting) So when I realized it was his handwriting on the front my heart skipped a hundred beats!!! He just wrote his name and the FNC address in the corner and my adress on the front. *wonders if I can send him a "real" letter at the return adress?* I've been wanting to write him a hand written letter since he got back from the war...but what to say...???
I waited until my mom left the computer room then let out a silent squeal (which wasn't hard considering I have almost no voice at this point) and then I posted on the blog. I have no idea why I didn't open it first. I was too scared I was dreaming maybe? LOL But mine says the same as all of yours. "Melissa - Thanks for watching! All the Best, Rick Leventhal" Still *sqeal* It was totally unexpected - and a GREAT surprise! Now I have to go find the software to my scanner. My dad completely re-booted the compture so I had to save all my files etc, and re-load all the programs. It's such a pain in the arse I tell ya!
But *sigh* his eyes.....
Ok, I swear I won't make this one big long post about the photo....
I noticed how much Shep says "Good Grief" too. My mom were laughin at how silly he was today....but you know he just says the most common sense stuff that the rest of us are thinking while we're watching.....and I think that's why I adore watching him so much. I think my mother probably thinks that envelope was something from Shep since she notices how much I watch his shows. But I dunno....I have no Idea what my mother thinks. What *am* I going to do with this picture??? It's not like I can hang it up at work.....I work with my mother!!! LOL! And I'd NEVER EVER hear the end of it from the maintenance men at work.
UGH! Dangit! I said this wasn't gonna be entirely about the photo....and look at me straying back to it again....
Nat - yeah Teri asked me about ya in the letter, so she'll be happy to hear from you! :) I told her about your "bad luck" with the photo, so I'll have to write her again and share the great news! Oh the dentist - I went to the dentist enough when I was younger to last me a lifetime! (yes I was a confirmed "brace face" for 3 1/2 years! lol!)
OMG you guys FUNNY STORY! My grandparents live about 3 blocks from us so either my grandma or my grandpa comes over during the day to give Boomer a "potty break" and I guess today my grandpa came over so he could also get his cooler that he left at our house last weekend. Well when my dad got home he found the back patio door open and was a little worried so he called my mom. Well my dad also saw the cooler sitting outside our fence and put two and two together that it must've been one of my grandparents. So my mom called my grandparents just to give them a hard time, and I guess she talked to my grandpa and he was the one that accidently left the back patio door open and cooler outside the fence. LOL So she was like "Did ya have a senior moment?" and he was like "Yeah I guess so! But I locked the front door for ya!" LOL! But then...my mom and got online to look up the number to Comcast (since our internet was having problems) and we noticed my Grandma was online. So we IMed her and here's how the convo went:
MOM: Don't let the old man go over without a checklist next time LOL!
Grandma: What???"
MOM: He left the back patio door wide open and the cooler outside the fence lol!
Grandma: I swear sometiems I think he suffers from "head up his ass" syndrome!
I think my mom were ROFL at that point! My grandma can be hilarous somtimes!
Well I'm gonna go chat w/ Jen now. I'll talk to y'all/catch up later!
