Hey Gals, it's been one LOOOONG day....It feels more like a week really. I was SO tired at work today, and my mom didn't feel good. :( I think some of it has to do with the heat. 105 degrees today! (with a comfort really friggin' hot index of 115 degrees!) But work was ok, I got a lot done, so that means less work for Monday. YAY! Then my mom and I came home early at 3:30, but didn't get home until 4, because mysteriously the traffic was backed up. Not to mention we were in the truck with no A/C! (Nan I *SO* felt your pain today....it's been miserable all week, but today was just ick!)

So we got home and the internet wasn't working.....so I spent my time scanning in some things, and I took a short 30 min. nap. Oh yeah I forgot to say, but my Uncle Joe, his daughter Karissa, and his son Cole (my cousin's obviously) came in town today. It's been a good 3-4 years since I've seen them last, so I'm excited to see them. Anyway at 6 we went over to my Grandma's (where my uncle is staying) and had BBQ...yumm. Sorry Jen :( So we're all just chatting and then my dad's uncle Gordon came over, and he brought a friend (Nick) with him.....and, well, umm...(I bet yiou can tell where this is headed)............*swooning* LOL! This man was just brilliant.....I mean literally! He's an astrophysicist (yes I had to look up how to spell that lol) and he's just so fascinating. (found out he just turned 39 and I think he live's in Tucson, AZ) He actually talked to me like a normal person, not like I was some teeny bopper drugged out college kid. I think most of it was just my pure fascination with him and his line of work....and he actually asked me what I wanted to be/do with my life, and really wanted to know what I thought on certain subjects when we were talking. I've never been so "mentally stimulated" in my life. (Jen! look what you've got me saying now! lol) No wait, I take that back Nick reminded me a LOT of an older version of Greg. No, not Greg Kelly -- MY Greg -- Greg O. -- an old crush that I thought I was in love with, but that's a long and whole other story. Anyway the "thought out" this math equation to figure out how far the farthest star they've found is, and it was just sexy......I mean not *sexy* but more or less fascinating - prolly 'cause I've always been horrid at math. Besides it was just so nice to have a real conversation, and to hear about things I've always been fascinated with (I mean who isn't fascinated with astronomy?), and to learn all new things. At the end of the conversation (there were 4 of us talking outside 'cause it cooled down) he said it was nice to actually be out and about, and nice to be able to talk to us, because other than his girlfriend he mainly is around 22 year old kids all day. I took that as a compliment, because he said it as if he didn't mind talking to me, and I"m only a 20 year old kid. Anywho - it was really nice if you couldn't already tell. :)

We're all going to the baseball game, and uncle Gordon and Nick are going too.....though they're sitting in a different section than the rest of us because they bought tix before us. The game should be really fun 'cause the Royals are doing really good (though we lost tonight) and tomorrow is $1 night. Peanuts, soda, and hot dogs for $1!!

I'm beat, and I'll just have to reply to posts later. I'm going to see if Jen is online, and if not I'll prolly go to bed. And if I'm absent here & there in the next week or so, it's because I'm out doing stuff with my uncle and cousins. :)
