Hey Gals! We had an earthquake! You can see it here at USGS prelim. earthquake report. You can see a map here. We are to the NW; at about 10:00 from Berkeley. It felt really weird- there was a sound, but really I felt it more- it was like a rumble (yeah, even in the water you can feel them). I felt it then heard sirens across the bay (Richmond) by the refinery- we thought it was an explosion there, 'cause we saw some smoke over there. That's the first one I've felt since '99- that one was a 4.7 and tonight's was 3.9 (so far- they always seem to change it later after more evaluation). Well, had to tie the shoes a few times today, including when I left. Just couldn't stop the tears for half the way home. I know people are tense at work, but I always hate when they take it out on me and become snippy & unhelpful. I always try to go along to get along, even if I'm having a bad day; it would just be nice if they'd try to do the same. Tomorrow should be better- Ms. Vibes (first name Negative) is off, so I'll have some peace. I'm just behind in stuff & there's no one else there that really knows how to do this particular type of policy stuff to the point where they'd be an asset to me. Which is fine, I just need the time to get it done instead of being pulled all those different directions & have this & that rush constantly shoved under my nose. Hmmm....come to think of it...my horoscope *did* warn of belligerant hypocrites today (really!)- boy did that hit the mark, LOL! Now if my horoscope can just give me the winning lottery numbers! :)
Jan- LOL- I do the "double time" thing too....I ran out of tapes, so I'm not going to be able to tape tomorrow. I'd either have to erase Todd or Rick....I got Rick on Fox REport today- didn't see it yet, but I know it's on tape. I'm quick to rise to the defensive too. The plus thing is that NV (Negative Vibes) is well known for having just that- plus attitude. Everyone knows, and yet everyone just glosses over it so nothing has ever been done and never will....BUT as I said, that's a definite plus, that people are at least *aware*. These days you can't even reprimand someone for having a poor attitude like you used to- people are too sue-happy (esp. here). I'd like to see Todd do something lighter too. The boy needs to smile more! :) Yeah, but if you were my neighbor, we could've gone to that parade together! :) LOL, I think I went hoarse before I got too much yelled out at the TV! I remembered the "Heroes in a Half Shell" too- mainly 'cause my ex-nephews in law were completely into Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Hey, I've got my own collection of stuff that would have people saying, "how old are you again?!?"- don't feel bad.
Nan- Amen- if we have to vote for Arnold to get Davis out & keep Bustamante out of office, then so be it. Funny how that works, huh? Issues Davis opposed before, he's all for now. Fins? I thought Davis had horns! ;) I know there's transcripts out there- here's one from our Fox affiliate, in case you're interested
CA gov debate transcripts. I think I'd have the courage to get into the picture with one of the hotties, I'd just need someone to ask for me LOL. Mmmm....make sure you get the garlic biscuits when you go to Red Lobster! Those are soooo good!

LOL You know, O'Reilly brought up something today that's been on my mind about this license thing too: Doesn't this CA giving illegals license issue violate our national security, and why don't Ashcroft or Bush do something (or will they do something)? His answer was that, "no- it's too hot". Which is prolly sadly true- for them to say something about it and stop it would make them "racist"- it's too hot to handle. Time will tell. Yeah, Bustamante better leave Adam alone or we're going to have to send you out here to kick some butt! :) I know I'd be thinking the same thing- "Hey!! You leave our Fox Hottie alone!"
Denise! Long time no hear! Sorry to hear about your sister-in-law's surgery, hope everything went well & that she'll be fine. Are the 8 year olds twins, I take it? That's definitely a handful- I don't know that I could do it (on a permanent basis). I'm really glad to see Fox reporting on the illegals/CA DL thing. This really needs to be broadcasted so everyone knows, because once it happens here, it won't be long everywhere else. At this rate, when we retire, we might be living in TX, North Mexico instead of TX, USA. Yeah- email me the Andy Rooney thing- you have me curious now! You can send to no'neill@norcalmutual.com (yeah, you need the apostrophe in there). You know, I think part of my reason today for "tying my shoes" was the upcoming anniversary. Thankfully I'm taking that & the next day off. I need to work that & other things out of my system. No worries about the rant- understandable. I get the same way- didn't know anyone, but feel sad & tear up all the same. Pre 9/11 was a completely different world.
Jayel- A-ha! Now I know why Dog's line was busy when I tried calling LOL! I saw Rep. Tancredo on Fox & Friends this morning too. I think the reason why he has a hard time rounding up support is like I said above- it's a "hot subject". These people need to re-evaluate what's right and wrong instead of going by where ever the wind blows and where their votes are coming from. To which....I wouldn't be at all surprised if illegals were able to vote with the 'licenses' they'll be getting. Our DMV people here could really care less to check if they are able to register to vote. Here in CA, you can register to vote at the same time you're getting your license (aka "motor voter"). I also doubt that the polling people would really check because when they have so many people coming in, they're really not going to want to check too deep- they'll look at the license and that will be that. I've heard the date to register by is 9/22. If this bill becomes law in time, I don't doubt that they (illegals) will try to get away with it- because they can. That's what's so scary, is that CA is pretty lax when it comes to some of this stuff regarding illegals anyway- this is giving (literally) a license to do just about *anything*. The *nerve* of that Bustamante.....to answer in Spanish. You know what would have been really funny is if Adam knew Spanish and answered back! How obnoxious! LOL, I prolly would have said, "hmm.. interesting....last I heard, English was our national language!" Thanks for the article facts- I really do enjoy these. It's great to see how Fox is kicking other cable news' butts. I think you have something there with the hottie absence and the 1% decline! Steve Harrigan singing the National Anthem.....ROFLMAO!!
