Leslie- we watched 44 Minutes too- well, he watched and I slept through half of it. It was pretty good, from the 45 minutes I watched of it! Cute story about the girls & the thrift store- I think it's just simply amazing what kids come up with. I know that's just ONE of the pleasures you get with having them. They have *great* imaginations- I wish I could tap into some of the things I may have thought of- it would be great story fodder! The only things I know are what my grandmas or my parents tell me. They a ll said I didn't really start to talk until I was 3 (and then they couldn't keep me quiet- LOL. Still can't!). Well, when I was around 4, my grandma said that one time "Delta Dawn" (yeah, that old Helen Reddy song) came on and I started singing along with it- it really surprised her. I think I still have that single that she bought me around here somewhere....LOL! About the sinus thing....Thanks for the well wishes-yeah, I was fine till I started doing the aerobics part of the tape- lol! I do have one of those- I'm going to have to start using it again. I also have a "sinus rinse" kit, it's just gross to use 'cause it reminds me of accidentally getting water up your nose.
Jan- How funny that you live that close to Bloomington! Kevin said it was a smaller town when he went there, but that was years & years ago- prolly in the early to mid 60's. I really used t o like the "city life" but there's something comforting about small towns- you're right, I think they tend to be more neighborly & traditional in the sense that the "real" things that are important (like family & history, etc) are treated like gold. I find that there are a lot of rude people in SF- they don't share the sidewalk, the bike messengers practically mow you down (even if you're in the right & they're not). Cities seem to be cold & distant, while towns & small towns seem warm & welcoming. That's the feeling I've always seemed to have about 'em. I think it's great you live in an area like that! Sixth Sense was great too- unfortunately, we saw it *way* after it came out- someone blew it for me, but I don't remember who- it was one of those movie reviewers. My Dr. had given me Flonase before, which I think I like better than the other stuff they gave me last time. I'm going to call tomorrow and ask if there's one that is targeted for sinus headaches due to pressure (kinda something like the Emetrex spray my mom uses for her migraines). Give me a sinus headache over a migraine any day!! I always remember when she had them when I was growing up and being worried about her until she felt better.
Yes-SERIOUSLY- we *really are* all normal gals here- a little stressed, a little nuts (no more than the average person out there)- and we only mean things in good fun. We're not psycho and we have a great sense of humor!
Jayel- I love the analogy- comparing watching Fox to being in a candy store! *Very* true! I've seen some pics of Todd w/o the goatee- I like him better with it, myself. He looks even cuter when he's kinda roughed up and been in the elements too......I guess I like 'em that way- my hubby's that way-LOL!
