Jan- *guilt* I forgot about the American Indian I have too- Cherokee. I'm prolly like 1/24 - lol. It was like a great great great grandma, I think.....I've never gotten that straight. I've been trying to pin it down, but never seem to get the exact answer from family. I think it's as fuzzy for them as it is for me- lol! I used to move a lot too- mainly when I was in AZ. There's only been one place here that I couldn't stand- it was a one room studio apt, oh, say 12x16 ft with a tiny bathroom (no tub, just stall shower), and a makeshift kitchen where a closet was (one of those sliding door types- the doors were still there). I had two burners, a single basin sink, and one of those mini fridges with the tiny icebox. No oven. All this for $600/mo. Thank God I was staying with Kevin like 4 nights a week, otherwise I'd go crazy. His daughter did better with it than I did when I sublet it to her. Of course she had less stuff, so that may have helped..... You're not alone in the "no-Rick-dreams dept"- I'm *still* waiting. I dunno if I've ever dreamed in slow motion.....I dream in color, I've heard songs in my dreams, and have deja vu in dreams. It's like I'm remembering other dreams at the same time that I'm dreaming a new one. Very weird.

Sherry- it's definitely not too late to ask Rick for a signed pic. Just say that you meant to ask & had forgotten (heck, I do that all the time with my correspondence at work....."I'm sorry, we will also need...." is part of my recent vocabulary). I'm sure he'll be more than happy to send one to you too! :D

Melissa- Don't feel left out about not knowing your background! I started asking questions about family history when I was around 12 or 13 ( I may have had to do something for a class, maybe it took off from there?) and it's been a sort of passion ever since. With all the resources out there on the 'net, it's prolly easier than you think. I have a similar situation with a great grandma- she was adopted, so I know *nothing* of her.Fortunately I asked the questions in time, my grandfather died when I was 16 (the other died when I was 6) and I got some info that I wouldn't have gotten if I had waited longer. All he knew though was that his mom was adopted, but not much else. I think there may be others (his sister, but I've never met or talked with her) that would know more. Researching with adoptions in families can be tricky, but chances are there may be someone else out there researching the same line.

Jen- (& anyone else out there who may think so) *Never* think of yourself as "plain ol' anything". That's great that you want to see *real* justice! :D Seriously, I have a lot of respect for you; the attitude that you possess needs to be more prevalent in society. You're even more rare in that usually there's not a lot of young republicans/conservatives out there (and this goes for any other young conservatives here too)- I've heard that you may start out thinking you're liberal, but then discover later on that you're actually conservative. (Hopefully that doesn't work in reverse- start out conservative- become liberal later on- LOL!) You're definitely on the right path, and are off to a great start Jen! I like the conversation scenarios- they'd work! :D Yep,you have to start somewhere!

OK- gotta get to work.....chat with ya'll later. Prolly tonight- our unit's taking out my new supervisor for lunch today....BTW- the diet's off for me today- it's Friday and I don't care (that is, until I can't fit into something....then I'll care...but now, nah!!). I may try to check in later on....Hey- one last thought: So, do you gals think he got the pics out yesterday like he said he was going to try to do? LOL!
