I *really* debated about sending the second email- but I'm glad I did. I kinda wish I'd kept it shorter, but oh well. It was shorter than the first one I sent. I'm sorry if I sounded positively goofy/giddy today- it just really caught me off guard. I really didn't think he'd reply that quickly! I sent it and was talking to my new supervisor & when I sat down again to do the dreaded tail offers/invoices that I'm six months behind on (yeah, that's really what they're called-lol!) and the Outlook 'new mail' thing was on my screen. I prolly get about 20 emails on average a day, so I just assumed it was another fyi kind of email or "I got a call from....they need a rush...." kind of ones. So.....you can imagine my face when I saw the familiar lowercase type, and the "from" name. Boy did that ever make my day! I wasn't really expecting a reply, or at least not *that* quick- like I said, sometimes I take a day or two to reply to emails sometimes (but mostly when they're problem related ones). Wow. I'm just floored- and very happy that it's not on that FedEx truck they keep showing- LOL!
Rick was also on Fox Report- about 45 minutes in or so. Woo-hoo!!
Melissa- I *love* chocolate- I keep eyeing the M&Ms in the snack machine at work...mmmm.....chocolate (ala Homer S.). Mmmmmm....warm oooey goooey brownies! I'll be right over! Weekends- primarily Saturdays are my cheat days too. Wine & ice cream (no, not together and rarely at the same time). Melissa- you think like I do with cheating & exercise. That's my rationale too. I've been slacking too- my head's been achy for the last week or so.....I'm a little cautious about prancing around the 'living room' or main salon as it's properly called. Yeah, his replies are very nice. I kinda felt bad when he said he was so sorry- I think I winced a little (maybe a little guilt on my part?). What a sweetie. It also made me wonder how many are there- lol! In my email I basically said that I hadn't received it yet and wasn't sure how he sent it but since I have a PO Box (because we live on a boat) and asked if he could send to the PO Box or to my work address at the bottom of my email (I sent it from my work email- which has my "signature" of name, title, address & 800 number). I also mentioned the floppy hat and that it's wonderful that he found his passion in journalism and gave him kudos for that. Hell, I'm proud of all you gals out there who have figured out what you want to do- more power to ya'll!! Go for the brass ring! I just wish I knew what I wanted to do.....
Poor Leslie! How can Shep resist a sweet witty gal like you??? Ah, nevermind them. We have a kick *** time here. We can always be shamelessly goofy here- that's one of the things I like best. Especially since I've been feeling goofy lately.... See- you're on the same mindset....it's hard for me to read the posts and *not* think that they're about us gals. I personally felt like it was a slight punch in the gut. Then I thought "to each their own" and then that we're a happy bunch and I love it here. Yeah, girl, you're definitely on the same page.....last time I heard/knew it was healthy to have fun thoughts of hotties. It's not like we're acting on them. Your girls sound so cute! Kids always seem to say the funniest things and seem to notice things that we forget by the time we're adults. I'd say she has (hopefully) healthy ulterior motives. LOL! You're so wicked- that's what we *love* about you! ;-D
Gals, we're *REALLY* rockin' here (and I don't mean music wise or *that* wise!) The wind's been blowing a lot this week and tonight we have steady gusts of 35+ mph with gusts around 40. It's hitting us from the WNW, so it pushes us to one side, lulls for a second and then starts again- can we say "rockabye baby". (For those of you who don't know, we live on a 54 ft sailboat). It doesn't bother me much, but it kinda throws my sight off a little when I'm in my tight little spot I'm in now typing & staring at the computer screen. No motion sickness, just throws my bearings off a little- especially when we haven't had it for awhile- I literally bounce off the walls- LOL!
