Well the last run also turned up nothing. Opened my mouth to scream into the box but nothing came out but a little squeak. Good Lord, I hope it's tomorrow! Otherwise I'll be waiting till Monday. I think I'll give it till.....a week from today & then (gulp) I'm going to email *again*. At that point it will have been 3 weeks since the 2nd reply. Meantime.....I'm going to start thinking harder about what to write to Todd. Any bets that it takes less time? LOL (Sorry Rick, couldn't resist.) I can't blame him (much)- lol- God knows I have stuff on my desk going back to March 'cause I've been slammed for so long; I'm sure a lot of those people are going, "geez, how long does it take to add a Dr. to a policy???"
Denise- let us know how Gangs of New York is- I'm curious if it's as good as it looks. Don't get me started about Rick showing up with the picture- just wondering where the heck that thing is has spun my imagination into overdrive. I feel a short story coming on.....if I actually throw that in with my large editing project (did I tell you guys that when I put just some of those stories together that I had 66 pages? And that's 1.5 spaced....). I just really feel like writing since the last week or so. I have *no* idea what's spurned it, but I'd like to know for future reference, lol. How cute that he messed up writing "please" and had to retrace it. I have no idea *why* it's cute, just is. I think there is a black hole in the USPS in SF, and the orgin is the 94126 post office. Mmmmm steak does sound good.....there's always something about smelling a BBQ going with steaks that throw me home & to my childhood. Kinda like football games on TV. Have fun kareoke-ing!
Sherry- Glad you're doing better- summer colds/flus are miserable- especially when it's hot/humid. I like your idea for a report for Rick to do....I missed that last year but saw pics of the report on another site. I think the "watched pot never boils" saying works here- I want that pic so bad and it's like I'm watching the box- lol. I do the same as you- have Fox on nonstop (unless hubby has the remote) and listen while I clean & do stuff around the house (and then run & ultimately run into something trying to get to the tv in time when I hear Todd or Rick....). Let us know if you locate your video spot of Rick talking about the gray hair- that sounds like it'd be a cute/funny one.
Leslie- LOL about the humor- I got it! :D About the picture- I hear ya! Good Lord girl, you know how to get the imagination to spin further out of control; but I like it! ;-D I'll think about sharing.....just kidding! Of *course* I'd share! Ew- pantyhose. When I was growing up (like 12-ish & onward) I was afraid of pantyhose, that time of the month, bras....just *anything* uncomfortable and anything pulling me away from being a little carefree girl. I was picky (still am) about how things fit. I'm still afraid of pantyhose- LMAO! Tights are OK- pantyhose- *NOT* (even though I know they're pretty much the same thing). I'm so sorry to hear about your neighbor's baby- it always makes me sad to hear of a baby dying when they've just barely began to live. We're always here for you and here to give you an unreality check. Why do you think I check in so often LOL! There's just something wonderful of having a little group of people like we have here (it's all been said before, but I'll never tire of hearing it)- all from different parts of the country, backgrounds, etc. Just *wonderful*! They said that people need social support to be healthy- I know that without you gals to be silly with I'd have prolly quit my job and been very miserable instead of winging it and laughing along the way. *****Group hug******
Jen- that looks like a really good recipe! I'd have to substitute the seafood since I'm not a seafood person (the closest I get is fishsticks)- but it sounds really good. Did you check out that link to the Greg video I put on here last night? I'm not sure if it's still there, but assume it is. Applebee's is sooooo good. I feel for you.
Jayel- Good point about being mindful of the safety of the reporters there as well as the soldiers. I'm still amazed that there weren't more reporter casualties than what there were. LMAO- you also have a good point about Leslie's imagination on the Rick pics- she prolly *would* be verbally flogged if she posted that "elsewhere". We just luuuuuuurve Leslie & her sense of humor! Girl, keep those imagination ramblings coming! Thanks for posting those stats- that really goes to show that Fox is kicking butt in the ratings game. We watch Savage Nation on Saturdays on MSNBC and I've seen the ad for Scarborough Country- the guy that hosts it reminds me of Matthew Perry (Chandler on Friends). We listen to Savage on the way home (he's based in SF)- he's pretty good. Thanks for the links! I'm sure I can think of *something* here in CA or in general to suggest to improve.
Melissa- *YAY* You give me hope! 5-7 days huh...*counting* so if it was mailed on the 26th, theoretically the 7th day would be tomorrow....let's keep our fingers crossed. I liked that poem- I have no idea who wrote it, but it made my day. I thought, "Oh *good*- it's *not* just me then...." LOL! I like that picture too- kinda rugged like. Mmmmmm..... I really liked your picture- the eyes were neat, and as they say, they're the windows to the soul (or at least I think that's the saying). I think eyes make the portrait in many ways. You captured 'em well! I think they had emotion in them.
OK- I'm going to call it an early night tonight- I'm pooped. Chat with ya'll manana. Have a good one!
