Well I've given up on cd-r'ing for today.....I'm trying to get my stuff on floppy **heavy breathing** they just showed the "Eyewitness to War" ad.....I looked up from the laptop and there Rick was.....ok- so as I was saying, the stuff that's on floppy (I can't remember the real name of them- I can only think of "A drive disc") I want to get it all on CD so that way it can't be accidentally erased or unaccessible as some of it seems to be. Go figure- the stuff I did on an older computer I can open at work on a new computer, and can't open it on my not-so-old laptop. ????? I give up for today on that.
Melissa- Yeah- what Kevin said about the hat really caught me off guard.....I don't think I'll be able to get him to watch "E to W" tonight at 7, but.....I'm gonna try to go to sleep to it at 10 when it replays.... ;-) Hopefully it'll mean sweet dreams for me! Now I just have to hope that Kevin goes to sleep by 10 LOL. I'm going to have to check out "This Love" **opens WinMX** OK- I'm downloading it now :-) God, I love that song, "Life in Mono".
Jen- (not to volunteer Melissa & Leslie) but maybe they'll be happy to ask him again (you know, to follow up). I know he's been busy though-maybe he's waiting till he gets back Stateside. Girl, dumping sounds really unbearable! I hope that happens to you very rarely! There's a lot more to it than I would have thought. I'd say your dream (sans Percocet) means you've got a great subconscious that (thankfully) doesn't need any help via the Percocet! ;-) What a nice dream! You sound a lot like me = perfectionist. If I could actually remember my dreams, it sounds like a dream I would have- I always make sure there's nothing left to chance. Glad your pureed cup o'noodles came out good!
Denise- Sounds like you had some good stuff to eat over the weekend! My weakness lately is sausage- like Polska Kielbasa....Greg is looking tired & I noticed that Jen Ecc. is looking a little worn too. Wow- that is sooooo weird that we're both descended from Mayflower passengers- and where do we meet up? On the LevenGals blog! I don't know why but that just sounds so.....strange, huh! According that site (www.Mayflowerhistory.com)- it looks like you're related to Noah Webster- of Webster's Dictionary fame! Cool- and also Deborah Sampson- she "fought in several battles during the Revolutionary War, disguised as a man". Looks like she's also linked to Myles Standish. Ironically enough I was thinking of joining the Mayflower Society too, but I sense that you have to go through a lot to join. I'm going to try anyway- there's a published family history book of the Hayfords; I may just have to go back to my Great Grandfather. We'll see- can't hurt to try & see what they require of me. I've done the same thing too!! I always look at family history in context as to what was happening in history. Can you imagine how exciting it prolly was (despite the problems....) living in the Revolutionary War times- talk about times changing. I was just telling Kevin the other night that if my ancestors knew what was going on now (taxes, state of things here, etc) they'd prolly be turning in their graves. Very recently my interest in early American history has been piqued..... I'd be all for hearing the plot line & giving my input! :-D
I had Your World on Friday, but missed the comment somehow.
Jayel- They really should send Rick over there- that would be a great idea to have them reporting from Baghdad at the same time. Although, as mentioned, I'm worried for their saftey since the British reporter was murdered the other day. And then today, there was one of our military guys who died from a point blank shot to the head by an Iraqi. It's just sad.....makes me just wish we'd kick some more butt over there. LOL- I guess I missed the Tony Snow thing too.... I think Rick will resurface this week.
Sherry- Yeah I hope they're back this week! Hmmm....you know- I just had a thought. Maybe the reason why Rick's been igcognito is that they gave him some time off *before* he goes *back* there.....just a thought. Oh no- but then if he goes back, he won't get my follow up email for the pic.....but I'm really hoping it will be waiting for me tomorrow. Ooooh your digital has a movie mode? That's cool! I'm sorry that you're having so many problems with it. Know what you're saying about updating computers.....we've been wrestling with whether to get a new one (desktop? laptop? undecided) this year or not. I love my laptop, but it's just so slow compared to what's out there today. LOL- you sound like me "gotta go spend time with the hubby"- I think they all get jealous of our lil' girls club here! ;-D
