Morning everyone!
Jen- You know you can always count on us for a shoulder when you need it- that's what friends are for :-) Hang in there, it'll get better. Keep pouring your soul into those journals- like I said they helped me immensely through some really tough times. Hmmm....where'd I go? Somewhere where I don't have to hear about VRPs & ACD calls (work stuff). If I never heard those again it'd be too soon. Oh yes, and to go in search for my photo......maybe I should send Dog Chapman or Geraldo after it?
Sherry- You were right- Todd was on about that time on the tape! ;-p Whoa, mama. I ended up speeding through the tape watched the high points. What a moving day on there! Jessica Lynch, the nabbing of the sons....wow. Actually in all seriousness, the Todd story made me sad for the POWs and their families. That has just got to be terrible for them. I think it's like when someone has a child kidnapped- days seem like an eternity and it would just be maddening. I admire their strength (both the POWs' and their families'). So, since I "watched" the 8 hours last night, I used my 8 hour tape today. This time I set it from 6 to 1:00 (that covers FNL, Dayside, FNL & Studio B). I also set it for Fox Report....just in case. LOL- I just continued reading your post, and found that you are seeing the same thing I'm realizing- the hotties tend to be on during those times. Not so much during Big Story, Neil Cavuto, and Special Report. Yeah, occasionally on Fox & Friends, but not often. There was that day where I got a double dose- I think Todd was covering the Katherine Hepburn story & (bad, bad me) I forget what Rick was covering.....that's terrible. Ah, yeah, Adam has been absent this week, huh? Well maybe I should send the "third request" to Rick soon- just in case he gets sent to replace someone there in Iraq; although I have a sneaky suspicion that he may be wanting to stay Stateside.
Melissa- yeah- you're right- they need to get the pics or some kind of proof out there to the Iraqi people so they *know*. They were talking about that on Fox & Friends this morning too. I couldn't *believe* some of the dumbass questions some of these reporters were asking........geez. They were like, "well, if the US is good at surveillance and 'waiting it out' why didn't they just wait for them to come out?" I don't know- to me that seems really stupid, especially since they *did* give them the option to surrender and were answered by gunfire. That'd be enough of an answer for me. I know they prolly *would* be worth more if captured alive, but I never had any faith of that really happening. They've been elusive thus far and I think they would only be willing to be captured if they were dead first. Nah, you're not the bad person for saying they should show the pics- I think it's our own socieity that frowns upon that. As they said on F&F this morning, they parade through the streets carrying their dead (and I think they've also carried pictures of the dead- when they are dead as opposed to when they were still alive) so it wouldn't really be taboo or abnormal for them to see such things as it would be here. The people are definitely going to want validation of this.
I was bummed with TV choices last night- two weeks in a row w/o "Keen Eddie"- have you gals caught that show (it's usually on Tuesdays- 9:00 PST)- it's actually pretty good/funny.
I'll check in a little later at lunch. Keeping my fingers crossed for some Rick footage today, and a little something in my mailbox or in bin......
