Hi ya'll! OK- here's what happened....I sent the follow up email to Rick around 1:15. And then when I was on my way back from the PO at 2:45 I realized (to my horror) that I most likely put my PO zip code on my work address (they're fairly different- 94126 vs. 94111). I rushed to my desk (as we had a 3:00 mtg) to try and recall my earlier message and re-send with the correct zip. At 2:49, he replied to my recall request and says "does this mean you received it?" Gals, I felt *sooooooooooo* lame at that point- I was like I'm *such* an idiot- it was my mantra, I was saying it so much. I thought, oh God, what am I gonna say now? I sound like such an *idiot*. I wrote back saying that I was sorry for the confusion, that it's been one of those weeks & it's only Tuesday- which is just *so* true.....I really wanted to quit today but didn't- as the song goes "I will survive" ;-) I also said that "I didn't receive it yet but it dawned on me that when I'd sent the email earlier today that I'd put the wrong zip code for my work address (in case you want to send it there so my post office doesn't lose it). I sent another email when I realized that I had the wrong zip code and inserted the correct one which is 94111. Sorry for the confusion! : -/" do I sound panicky or what?!? So then at 3:22, he writes back & says no worries, that he'd get it out this week. I thanked him for his quick reply and again apologized for the confusion and that I appreciated his taking the time to do this. Oh yeah, I also confirmed my *correct* work addy & zip. **WHEW** So, all told I've had 4 responses from him, two in one day. I have to say it felt odd, because it was like emailing a colleague- at one point I was like for convenience's sake I wish he'd just call or that I could call him just so I could make sure we're on the same page- and it was that "wish" in the way that it would just be easier- not because of who he is. Strange, huh? But you know what occurred to me is that he *must* have sent the other one & it's just stuck somewhere- Never Never Land prolly. I would've loved to be a fly on the wall when he was reading my emails- he was prolly thinking, "what is *wrong* with this girl?" It's called "Oasis ate my brain"- Oasis is the lousy ass system we have at work- nearly 3 years going and we're *still* backpeddling.
"So what is your reason for leaving Norcal?"
"Oasis"
LOL- makes me wonder how many *have* left for that reason..... OH YEAH- check *this* out- our mtg was about there was a break in at work over the weekend and a bunch of laptops were stolen- and I mean that they pried open managers' locked doors to get to them. Also, someone's been going around cutting phone people's phone cords, mouse cords & computer cables.....it just gave me chills. I *never* leave anything out- just photos.

So....with that- lemme read the posts & comment......

Denise- Whoa, you got an email too? How nice that he wrote to check! AWWWWWWW!!!! LMAO- I could almost seeing you write, "yeah, I got mine but a friend of mine didn't get hers" LOL Actually I had mentioned in my follow up email to him that "I don't want to be a pest...but....I think the picture may have disappeared into the ever growing black hole in California. : -) In other words I haven't received it- I know you're really busy (especially now with the teens in New Jersey story plus other developing ones), but is there a way you can send another?" I hope it didn't sound bad- it was the best I could do in my then current mental state- LOL.

Sherry- yeah, it sounds like it's been a crummy day- I can't believe the murders! And the guy in Bakersfield was a Vice Principal- can you believe it?! Even though I missed Todd, I'm glad he's back on. You sound like me with books.....I've got hundreds that I hope that get to read in this lifetime. That's what I'm waiting for- for Kevin to retire (and hopefully I won't have to work.....) so I will have time to pursue my hobbies (reading, latch hook, needlepoint, drawing, writing...). I haven't read too many mysteries- just a couple of Mary Higgins Clark ones. My mom *really* gets into mysteries.

Jen- sorry you're having an "icky blue" day- this week has just been really weird. Take care of yourself! I have to smile every time the Macaroni Grill ad comes on- I always think of you & hope that you'll be eating good again soon. WOW- talk about *dreams*! I love your dreams! You dreamt in French, huh? I took German in high school & in college and every now & then I'll remember words and be able to construct a sentence; very very rarely have I dreamed in it though. Diet Dr. Pepper isn't so bad- it's the only 'diet' ones I like actually.

Melissa- I heard Todd on Fox Report- I don't know if they showed him- if they did I missed it, but that's ok. *Don't* feel guilty! :-) Glad your doggies didn't get your lunch! I've had the "sleep hangover" headache before- they're crummy. I get them on Saturdays sometimes 'cause I'm so sleep deprived during the week that I tend to make up for it Friday night/Saturday morning. I've never really had a liquor hangover either- I always stop before it can ever get to that point. Know what you mean about the killings- my dad was born in Bakersfield- how ironic! I think I still have relatives down there but I'm not sure. I'm not close to them; they'd be cousins-something-removed; all my great great and great aunts & uncles are long gone as far as I can tell. I think my dad called Bakersfield the armpit of California once. Maybe Greg gave himself a chest hair trim?

a h- I agree with your concensus on Melissa's dream- it's very odd when you dream of someone and you wake up and think "what the hell was that?" (ok- those of you out there who are Simpsons fans have to use the Krusty voice for that- it was from an early episode where he was playing the cartoon with an Eastern-Block version of Itchy & Scratchy"). I saw the segment on Fox & Friends that you mentioned- that was good.
