Oh my, Melissa!! How **wonderful** is **that**??? I'm soooo happy for you!! Maybe (huge maybe, probably!) he'll answer mine **crosses fingers**? I don't remember now when I sent it- it was at least a month ago, but I know he pretty much just got back. Melissa, that's gotta feel so good that you got the personal go ahead from him- how wonderful!! :D
LOL- I kinda blush a little thinking that there he is reading our posts and just really getting a kick out of it! Dang it, I have the hiccups and can't shake 'em. I wasn't planning on getting on tonight, but I was reviewing my tape this afternoon & saw the blurb about the Memorial Day show on Special Report at 3 PDT/ 6 EDT. So far, that's been my only sighting of Rick today. Oh, except for the short Fox ad that I race to the TV for when I hear the music, but miss half the time-lol! Just got done with the tape- as far as I can tell *nada* today. But that's ok, 'cause Melissa's news makes way up for it! :D
Jan- I wish I had a Tivo too....we're working on the cost & hookup strategy. Yeah....I'd rather be a LevenGal than a Leventhal Lassie- it's kinda cute, but.....can't shake the canine thing....lol. I keep seeing "Lassie", as in the dog, in my mind instead of thinking of myself as a lassie, as in girl.
Ellen- great foresight! I can't think of the word you're probably thinking of (it's there, 'on the tip of my tongue')....LOL- a thesaurus would be good about now too, in addition to the spell check!
Sherry- thanks for the info! Bummer....unless I can get my hubby to watch (doubtful) I'm going to miss Brian Wilson's show- it would be on at 8:00 here...possible but doubtful since that's usually when he switches it from Fox. Monday's though, I'll be able to watch- yay!! I believe that Ollie is back- he was on H & C about a week or two(?) ago. He got his Ruth's Chris steakhouse steak-lol! Good for him- he really deserved all he could eat & then some.
Teri- ah, OK- just down the coast from where I am then. It's a nice coastal area- I'm partial to N. CA- particularly the Redwood areas. You'll have to see them before you get moved somewhere else. They're just awesome. Funny you mentioned the windmills- I just saw that on the tape! There are a million of those things down there in So CA. I try to stay 'hip' but some of the stuff one of my stepsons listens to (he's got a sort of broad range in tastes, but could use improvement), and what he finds funny kinda loses me at times. LOL- we (my husband & I) had him sign a bet when he was 16 that read something to the effect of that he will like the same music he liked then when he's 35. I think it's an $800 bet & dinner of the winner's choice. (Hey, he wanted the bet & kept upping the ante- LOL). We'll see.... We like to listen to a lot of different stuff, celtic music being one of them- Enya & Loreena McKennitt are great. Oh, yeah, and Altan.
Wow, they're (H & C) talking to an officer of the USS Philippine Sea who lost his brother in the South Tower on 9/11- he was the one that launched the first missle into Afghanistan. Wow. That's all I can say, is wow- how moving. Ok- I better stop for now!
